The Circle (Vision Quest) By Eugene S Panis
Description of Book:
Christopher is a twelve-year-old boy who has always had a fascination with Native American Indian Culture. His obsession haunts him with visions and dreams of the past, A sudden freak accident takes him on a Vision Quest, an unbelievable journey back in time where he discovers he was once an Indian named Yuma, Christopher as Yuma learns about the Native American concept of The Circle, and how all living things are connected, Yuma is also becoming a man, torn between his responsibility as a tribe leader and his passion as a healer, His special gift of visions leads him into an encounter with strangers and forbidden love with a woman named Rose. But when he foresees an attack on his village and images of Rose falling to her death, Yuma must find the courage to save his people and the woman he loves.
My Review:
I first thought it was a book about a 12 yr old interested in Indian's which is really cute by after sitting down and really reading the book it came to me that this is a story of how life really is a circle and repeats itself over and over if we are not watching. The story of Yuma and Rose is such a wonderful and endering story and once I was deep into the book I could not put it down and wanted to know how it was going to end. I believe so much in fact that what we take from the earth we should give back and by taking to much we destroy the earth little by little and if we are not careful we are not going to have much to give back. It is a story of love, openness to the earth and what it tells us & friendship that can repeat itself over and over.
